Rob began his multi-faceted creative life still in junior high, writing hilarious skits, musicals and making super-8 films. Throughout the eighties, Rob wrote and performed comedy theatre and improv in Ottawa, Toronto and New York while building his musical instrument empire, Song Bird Music, opening stores in Ottawa and Toronto. A graduate of the New School of Drama in Toronto, Rob went on to develop a professional acting career. He moved to Vancouver in 1996 and has since appeared in numerous TV series, movies and feature films including a trilogy of Baby Geniuses movies starring along with Jon Voight.

Behind the camera, Rob has been director, producer, , story editor and  consultant. In 2000, Rob wrote, directed and starred in “The Workshop Junkie”, a 16mm half-hour film, critically acclaimed and subsequently licensed by CBC’s Reflections and ZeD.  Rob’s feature script, “Hot For Nirvana”, won development support from Telefilm Canada, Harold Greenberg Fund, BC Film and the Canadian Film Centre.

Rob co-created, directed and starred in the digital TV series “Between Jupiter & Mars” which launched in 2014 on MyDamnChannel and Daily Motion and Youtube.  He is currently developing a comedy television series based on the web series titled “Unmanageable.”

In addition, Rob is in development on documentary project with the support of the National Film Board of Canada - based on his early life in an eastern religious group. He has also been awarded a Canada Council grant for theatre artists. His solo show “Nephew of the Universe” will premier in the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June 2018 and the documentary will follow with a tour of the show in 2019.

Rob has co-written the screenplay for the feature film “Cold Man’s Cadillac” with Casey Graf and Jana Savage, slated for production in 2018.

An accomplished singer/songwriter and guitarist, Rob performs live and has released first album, "IT IS WHAT IT IS" -  available on iTunes.

Rob is also a stand-up comedian and sketch comedy writer. He has performed extensively in New York, Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles. He was most recently seen at The Hollywood Improv and the Comedy Store in LA.

In addition to his creative endeavors, Rob was president and CEO of Song Bird Music, a musical instrument retail chain in Toronto and Ottawa, from 1982-2008.

Rob is a workshop facilitator and acting coach, was co-leader of the Performer’s Mastery, a registered professional counsellor and a graduate of a three year applied transpersonal -psychology counseling program through Clearmind International Institute.

Rob currently works between Vancouver and Los Angeles where he continues to act and develop film and television projects. .
